The SP3 updates for Windows XP might do some more harm than good. Some AMD users have reported that the update causes their computers to endlessly reboot. Intel users appear to be in the clear, the problem affects computers with AMD chipsets only. Some Intel machines have the problem, but not many. So far Microsoft hasn't replied.
